LensOnLoan is a free online mortgage and loan calculator that gives you instant, accurate repayment estimates — with no sign-up, no data collection and no servers involved. Every calculation happens locally in your browser.

Whether you're comparing home loan options, planning a car purchase, or figuring out how much extra to pay on your mortgage to get ahead — LensOnLoan gives you the clarity to make informed decisions.

How to Use LensOnLoan

The calculator is simple and instant. Here's how to get the most out of it:

  • 1Select your region — LensOnLoan auto-detects your country and pre-loads local defaults. Or click any region pill to switch manually.
  • 2Choose your loan type — switch between Mortgage, Personal Loan and Car Loan tabs. Each pre-sets sensible defaults for your region.
  • 3Set your loan amount — drag the slider or type directly. Amounts are in your local currency and support ranges from small personal loans up to $5M.
  • 4Enter the interest rate — use your lender's quoted rate, or reference the rates shown in the sidebar for your region.
  • 5Adjust the loan term — standard mortgages are 25–30 years; personal and car loans are typically 5–7 years.
  • 6Add extra repayments — slide to add extra monthly payments and instantly see how much interest you save and how many years you cut from your loan.
  • 7Read the amortisation chart — green bars show principal repaid each year, blue bars show interest paid, and the amber line tracks your remaining balance. Hover over any bar for exact figures.
  • 8Switch to Table view — click the 📋 Table button for a scrollable year-by-year breakdown of principal, interest and balance.

All mortgage calculations use the standard amortisation formula implemented in plain JavaScript — accurate, instant and private. No external financial APIs or calculation services are used. The amortisation chart is rendered on HTML5 Canvas with no external libraries.

Location detection uses ipapi.co — only your country code is read to pre-select a region. No precise location data is used or stored by us.
